Description of my issue:

Hi,

when setting a backup by backend ( through webmin crnjob task scheduling panel ) , the cron job does not star - If I execute it manually ( from webmin too ) , I read in the akeeba.backend.log the text I posted below?

What is the issue?

Thank You

marco

Hi Marco,

You are not receiving an error message in the log. What you are looking at is the back-end log file, which shows you the standard text appended there every time you access Akeeba Backup's Control Panel.

You have to actually go to Akeeba Backup, View Log, select the "Command-line" origin and see the log file there. This is the log file generated by the backup.php file. If you are using the front-end backup mode with your CRON script, you will have to select the "Frontend" origin instead. Post the raw log file you get from this origin and we can take it from there :

You're welcome! According to the log, the backup completed successfully. I guess this means this is fixed?

Hi,

...no, it didn't start at all ( I scheduled the backup later then the hour reported in the log ). So I tried to schedule a new backup from the shell and from webmin, without success: It didn't start agin. So I have opened a ticket with the hosting support team. Let see what they have to tell...

Sorry for the issue, I believd it was a akeeba backup issue related.

Thank You for Your help,
Best Regards

marco

Hi Marco,

yes, this seems like a misconfiguration of the CRON job or the CRON daemon not running on your host's machine. It doesn't seem to be an Akeeba Backup issue.
