Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 1.5.23 Stable
PHP version: 5.3.8
MySQL version: 5.1.59
Host: Network Solutions VPS Small
Akeeba Backup version: 3.3.8

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue:

I´d been doing backups of my website for 1 month approximately. Lately I´d notice some weird or unknown files that are uploaded to my Amazon s3 bucket beside the .jpa backup file.

I don´t want to touch any configuration without the proper advice. If you have any ideas please help.

Thanks in Advance!!!

Well, the files in the screenshot are not uploaded by Akeeba Backup, but I'll try to help you anyway. They are created by Amazon S3 itself because you have turned on bucket logging. Every time your bucket is accessed, like every time Akeeba Backup gets to upload its backup archive, new log files are created.

Please take a look at this third-part page detailing how bucket logging works in Amazon S3.

Thanks Nicholas,

I´m going to disable the bucket logging and see how it turns out........

Best Regards!!!

Another issue that I didn´t post before.

When the backup is finished It tries to upload the file tom amazon and gives me the following error:

AEUtilAmazons3::putObject(): [6] Couldn't resolve host 'wibox.s3.amazonaws.com'

Failed to process file Backup_Wibox 20111205.jpa

Post-processing interrupted -- no more files will be transferred

However, when I manually transfer it to the cloud it works.

Is there a possible solution for this???

Thanks in Advance!!!

I normally suggest that my users follow the troubleshooter page for S3 issues. Most likely you have to turn off the SSL check box or use a smaller part size.
