Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 1.5
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: 5.1.54.
Host: Mediatemple
Akeeba Backup version: Akeeba Backup 3.3.a3 (2011-06-03)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

I am not sure where the log is created on the server I am restoring to so haven't uploaded it.

Description of my issue:

I am trying to restore using kickstart. When it starts to restore the database it hangs when the restoration bar pops up. Eventually I get a Ajax error (undefined)

memory_limit = 128M in php.ini

I have checked all the parameters and usernames. I see a few tables get created in the database before it hangs.

I've tried localhost and 127.0.0.1 and also mysqli and mysql

You are using a very old version of Akeeba Backup which is no longer supported and had some bugs which could probably cause this issue. The current version is 3.3.10. Can you try backing up your site with the new version of Akeeba Backup and retry the restoration? If this is not an option, please let me know so that I can provide you with a workaround.
