Description of my issue:
Hi,
I am having a problem with Kickstart hanging half way though, i have read all the support tickets, and looked at and tried all, there is enough disc space, i have done this many times with the same host and have not had a problem, the site is 44meg in size, no errors, have not had this problem before.
Can you assist with any ideas, i have asked for hosting support to look at it.
Is it a server time out problem?
I am uploading the files through FTP at the moment.
I understand this not be A Akeebs problem, but nay ideas might help?
Regards
Dave

I need a clarification from you. Are you referring to the archive extraction by Kickstart or the database restoration performed by the installation script after Kickstart finished the extraction of the archive?

archive extraction by Kickstart

OK. The archive is very small to be running out of disk space and you have already checked that. Moreover you imply that it hangs there waiting for the extraction to proceed but nothing happens and you do not receive an error message. If this is the case you don't have a server timeout error; a timeout reports a failed status to the AJAX call and an error is produced. The only thing that can cause this behaviour is not receiving a reply at all from the server due to a proxy or network problem (or a firewall, antivirus or browser extension blocking the request for some reason). Unfortunately there's not much you can do to debug such an issue except trying the extraction from a different browser, running on a different computer connected to the Internet on a different ISP.
