Joomla! version: (unknown)
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: (unknown)
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: (unknown)

Description of my issue:

when doing a routine test restore from backups I have found that after updating to joomla 2.5.11 admintools 2.5.5 and akeeba professional backup 3.7.7 the kickstart.php routine worked without a problem, however when I logged in as super user I could no longer get access to admin tools, akeeba back up or the extension manager.

I was getting a 500 error and then i installed code suggested from another post I read and this gave me the following:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getCmd() on a non-object in /home/www/dd2.dazl.com.au/administrator/components/com_admintools/dispatcher.php on line 70

could you please advise what I should do. This has happened on 2 sites after updating as per the above.

Please make sure that the target server has PHP 5.3 or later installed. The new versions won't work on PHP 5.2 and this is one of the expected error messages in this case.

If the PHP version is 5.3.1 or later, try wiping out the entire site and then perform a restoration again. If you are restoring on top of another site with a fairly old release of our software, or any other FOF-powered extension, two versions of the FOF library will be mixed in the libraries/fof directory and cause severe issues.

Pamela, all versions of our software released since February require PHP 5.3 or later. If you downgrade to PHP 5.2 you won't be able to use any of our software.
