Description of my issue:

I made a backup before I start making changes to my site and now I need to restore my back up and all the information I find is how to restore to a new server or to a loca host, my situation is different, I want to restore it to the same server and location just need help on how I can do this. ????? Please help

It doesn't matter if you restore your site on a local host, the same server or a different server. It's always the same process which can be summed up as:
- Put the backup archive to the site's root
- Put kickstart.php there
- Run Kickstart
FYI, this procedure is explained step by step in our Quick Start Guide (in our Docs menu) and our video tutorials (in our Video menu). Both menu items can be found at the very top of every page of our site.
