Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: (unknown) 2.5.14 (I think)
PHP version: (unknown) 5.4
MySQL version: (unknown) MySQL 5
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: 3.7.10 Pro
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: 3.7.0 Pro

Description of my issue:
I am new to Joomla. I want to move a site from a development site into a production site and I followed these steps:
  • Dev site using Joomla 2.5.6
    Make updates to dev site.
Install Akeeba Backup on dev site
    Backup Dev site
Install Joomla 2.4.14 on Prod site
install Akeeba Backup on Prod site
Go into Prod site both front end and backend just to make sure install went OK
using FTP move Kickstart.php, en-GB.Kickstart.ini and site-www.rcradio-staging...JPA files to prod site root
    navigate to Prod site /kickstart.php
Select ....JPA file click continue a couple of times and Kickstart works fine
Follow restore dialogues and restore appears to work correctly
Navigate to Prod site and the menu hierarchy is there but it is in underlined text instead of nice boxes. Clicking on the links take me to an Error 404 page
When I try to go to /administrator to see what happened I get a completely blank page.
I obviously messed something up, any ideas.
    Thanks!

Thank you for your help, I had read the troubleshooter document but missed the $live_site parameter and after updating that the site now works perfectly.
