Dear friends,

I'm completely stucked with my restoration, using akeeba backup and kickstart..
I'm trying to restore a backup on localhost, first in order to check the backup, second to run some tests on some changes I'd like to do on the site.
It is a small site, I've got a lot of space on my HDD and 16 Go for RAM.
When using kickstart, it start normally, but soon, it freezes at approximately 10%
(P:/wamp/www/endocardite/media/editors/codemirror/js/brace-fold.js)

I waited for hours, nothing happens.

I tried to do it after having selected ignore most errors, same problem, it's stucked at 10% approximately(P:/wamp/www/endocardite/media/editors/codemirror/css/index.html).

It is to be noted that I only have one .jpa file.
Of course, I don't have any error message.

I have attached the log, if it can help.
Did you have already such problem?
Thanks for your help.

Hello Guillaume,

please can you try to extract your archive using the desktop version of Akeeba eXtract Wizard.
You should be able to extract your archive and run the restoration step, just point you browser to your site main page.

Thanks, Davide,

I was just hoping that I could do it with kickstart as it seems simpler.
Indeed, I've got a strange problem when restoring my site with extract wizard, maybe related to .htaccess, but I'm not sure.
when I restore my site with extract and I rewrite the htaccess.txt in .htaccess, I curiously have access to the backend of my site but not to the frontend?!? To be precise, I've got an index of the folder, but not my site.
I should precise I restored the site on a local server in order to test my backup.
do you have an idea?

Please take a look at this page of the manual, there are several hints to solve your problem.

Keep in mind that the .htaccess file is server specific, you must edit it manually when you're restoring your site.

Indeed, I already tried every hint of this page several times without success!
And yes I edited .htaccess manually (otherwise, I couldn't have even done the restoration)
Otherwise I wouldn't have ask for your help.

Can you please check if you have an index.php file in your site root?
If not it means that you excluded Joomla frontend index.php, you can simply copy that file from your remote server.

Moreover, can you please check if you have any index.html , index.htm, default.html or default.htm in your site root?
If so, please delete them.
