When trying to restore a backup file on hostgator, we encountered:


The extraction has failed

Extraction of the backup archive has failed.
The last error message was:

Invalid AJAX data:
Fatal error: Class 'AKPostprocHybrid' not found in /home4/username/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/restore.php on line 5108

This will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime, in the Site Restoration page (one page before you got the error) choose a different option in the "Files extraction method" drop-down. Just do not use the "Hybrid" option as this is what is triggering this bug.
