I've been working to upgrade this 2.5 site locally, doing a fair amount of working cleaning it up and updating extensions. Half asleep, I managed to initiate the J3 update on the remote site instead of locally. (bad start to a bad day) So I took a backup and restored that to the remote site. Now the site is throwing blank pages on both front and back with this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare non static JDatabase::$dbMinimum as static JDatabaseDriver::$dbMinimum in /path- to/driver.php on line 20

I have tried renaming htaccess. and I've looked for this error on the web but haven't turned anything up.

Can you help? I'd appreciate anything!

At wits end. :(

Andrea

You can't restore your 2.5 backup over a 3.x site. You need to manually delete the files and drop the tables in the database. Then do your restore again. That should fix you up.

Andrea,

A difficult answer is better than a mystery. I hope your day gets better.
