I am trying to run Kickstart from a JPA archive on Amazon S3. I can select the backup archive from step 1: connecting to S3 is fine, the bucket is listed, and the backup jpa is found. When I select it however, I get the step "4 Importing..." page with the message "Please do not close this window while your backup archives are being imported" but the progress bar doesn't populate or move at all.

Ah, I see https://www.akeeba.com/support/site-restoration/Ticket/36106:no-progess-on-s3-import-joomla4-running-php8.html. It seems maybe this bug hasn't been fixed? I'll try using PHP 7.4

mikeprince

Yes, that was the problem. It does not work with PHP 8. Any idea when this will be fixed?

Thank you very much for the report!

There was, indeed, a bug under PHP 8. I just fixed it, you will find the updated code in the next version. In the meantime, the solution is to use PHP 7.4 if you have to import archives from S3.
