every backup I have tried to restore has this error even on new backups,  any help would be great trying to restore into xampp server

An error occurred

Invalid header in archive file, part 0, offset 2613060181

also restored another joomla site and I can get to each of my pages.

Hello,

can you please check the option "Ignore most errors" in Kickstart starting page?

Most likely there is a file that is corrupting your backup. Please open the kickstart file and search for the line KSDEBUG, remove the two forward slashes to that line and start again.

In this way a debug file is created, please zip it and attach it here, so I can see what's going on.
