the page errors saying the e-mail line is empty when it's clearly not.

 

as you can see in the image trying to select that textbox is restricted, slashed circle

As is clearly shown in this screenshot, your browser has auto-filled the e-mail and password fields — but not the “Password (repeat)” field. Basically, your browser sabotages you.

Select an Administrator using the Super User drop-down field. This sets the E-mail field and clears the Password and Password (repeat) fields. Now it will work.

Not really. We test with all major modern browsers. All modern browsers have no way to prevent them from auto-filling password fields.
