At the end of a restoration, in the (6) Restoration and Clean Up screen, the following deprecation notice is displayed at the top:

( ! ) Deprecated: runZapper(): Implicitly marking parameter $observer as nullable is deprecated, the explicit nullable type must be used instead in D:\Sites\XXXXXX\Joomla5\XXXXXX.co.uk\kickstart.php on line 7501

This is unfortunately not fixable (yet). The minimum target PHP version for Kickstart is 5.6 which does not allow for nullable types – these were introduced in 7.1.

Kickstart 9 will have a minimum target PHP version of 7.2. In that version this deprecation –and many others– have already been addressed. Because it has a new architecture I also need to modify all of our backup products to use it. This needs some contiguous time to work on. Joomla 6 is coming in October and PHP 8.5 is coming in December. The deprecations and b/c breaks they introduce are currently keeping me busy. I'll release the new Kickstart version most likely around November or December, when the madness from these new versions has subsided.

Thank you Nicholas.

I was sure that trivial things like these don't escape you.
