Hi,

I have a strange issue trying to restore a PHP site that was backed up using Akeeba Solo Core.

In the root directory of the domain I placed the extracted kickstart 9 package as well as the JPA file of the backed up site (which is a Prestashop installation).

When I try to call the URL kickstart.php I automatically get redirected to "kickstart.php/src/kickstart_web.php". It's a 301 redirect, which seems to not end.

I have removed the .htaccess file, but it shows the same behaviour.

I put a phpinfo file for testers in that directory, which worked fine, so it seems not a hoster issue (perhaps?). But I had issues with IONOS before.

Any advice on how to progress would be great.

Thanks and all the best,
Stefan

This is an issue with the default PHAR stub created by PHP. Please wait for the release of Kickstart 9.0.1 tomorrow. If you are in a rush, you can use the previous version instead.

Thanks for the quick response. Does not hurt to wait a while. Otherwise, I unpacked the archive on another server successfully, so I have an alternative at hand.

Best,

The new version is published already. It does not do the redirection. It uses its own mini-router and a custom PHAR stub to avoid PHP's default behaviour. This wasn't really documented anywhere and I couldn't find anyone else doing that… but it works, even on my own servers (local and live) where I had experienced the same issue as you did.

Using 9.0.1 now and it works fine.
