Today we have published releases for all of our public, free of charge software. All of that software now uses a new update site location. The previous update site, hosted on GitHub, no longer works. You will need to update your software manually.

We are aware that you may receive an error when installing Akeeba Backup 7.2.x, Admin Tools 5.7.x or Akeeba Ticket System 3.4.x when you have an earlier version of any of our Joomla extensions installed on your site and a system plugin of said extension enabled on your site. This is a chicken and egg issue.

All Geographic IP (GeoIP) features will be removed from Akeeba software starting January 2020. This is a consequence of changes in the licensing and availability of MaxMind's GeoLite2 Country Database.
